  • Really positive experience here after no support from GPs. Kind Radiography staff who helped me get past my claustrophobia to have an MRI having not managed one elsewhere previously. Very clear diagnosis of what the problem is from Mr. Karpe who explained it all clearly and what I need to do to manage issue.

  • I had an NHS Funded surgery here yesterday on the 10th July under the Colorectal team. I have to say that the staff, including the admissions/discharge nurses, HCAs and anaesthetist were absolutely amazing. The surgeon was a stereotypical surgeon I'm afraid, very minimal understanding of a bedside manner, no time for questions, dismissive, a god-like arrogance - the usual. I would like to say that the consultant anaesthetist, who I can't remember the name of, was the most kind, funny, reassuring and passionate medical professional I have ever come across - and if this feedback could make his way back to him, I would greatly appreciate it. There were some ways in which the experience could have been improved. A debrief after surgery would be nice (I didn't even know if my surgery was done via burning or surgical excision, whether to keep replacing the gauze, when I could shower, what side effects to be aware of, nor was I given compression stockings). The surgeon actually having a discussion with the patient instead of a quick hello and signature in rhe consent form would be reassuring. Overall it was a great experience, but not exceptional as the aftercare protocols and advice was scarily limited.

  • Everything went smooth and I am satisfied. Only thing that was concerning that I called Tees valley hospital multiple times for follow up and they didn't pick my call or respond to my any of my several voice mails which caused me 2 weeks daily to finally get booked with Doctor. This was quite annoying.

  • Mr Munipalle and all of his staff including anaesthetist and all the nurses and all support staff were superb. The care I received from the team and Tees Valley Hospital has been the best healthcare I have ever received. The communication pre operation with the booking team was excellent and I really appreciate their help & understanding and their efforts to get my procedure scheduled as soon as possible, which they managed to do for me for which I am very very grateful. The pre op assessment nurses were also excellent, extremely thorough and made things all very clear to in terms of what I needed to do pre op to ensure I was ready and well prepared and for the post op recovery in terms of being very clear about the do’s & don’ts. The main reception staff have always been very helpful, friendly and courteous. Whenever I have called or arrived at reception I have always been helped quickly and efficiently. The written communication via mail has also been quick and efficient with letters arriving the next day following consultation or scans etc. Thankyou to the admin team to, you’re all doing a great job. Finally, I can’t highlight enough how good the consultant Mr Munipalle is. He makes you feel relaxed and confident about the procedure, he takes the time to explain everything and has a very personable and professional manner. Again, this has been by far my most positive experience in any hospital or healthcare setting. I am so very grateful for his skill and professionalism and to the excellent efforts by the whole team in taking care of me. This is very much appreciated and certainly helped to ensure that my operation went well without any issues at all.
