I genuinely can’t recommend Tees Valley Hospital highly enough. Everything about my experience was world class. I’d had a stressful and confusing time before being placed in the care of Tees Valley, and from the moment I arrived, the difference was incredible. Fiona and the Patient Services team went above and beyond to help me, showing so much patience, kindness and understanding. The front desk and billing teams were equally understanding, helpful and efficient. Then came my surgery, and I honestly don’t have enough good things to say about Miss Khatri. She is an absolute genius and I felt completely safe in her care. She is kind, funny, friendly and incredibly thorough. She took so much time to explain everything to me, even drawing diagrams to make sure I properly understood what was happening. I’ve never had a doctor explain things so clearly or make me feel so reassured. She kept me fully informed at my appointments beforehand, immediately before surgery and again afterwards. I genuinely don’t think I could have been in better hands anywhere. My surgery turned out to be considerably more complicated than expected, but it went perfectly, which only made me even more grateful to have been under Miss Khatri’s care. What really stood out, though, was that the same caring attitude seemed to run through the entire hospital. Every nurse I met had time for me, treated me with genuine care and kindness, and was warm, friendly and personable. Nothing ever felt rushed or impersonal. Every member of staff we encountered, from catering and reception through to the doctors on shift, was wonderful. The room was lovely, the food was great and communication before, during and after my stay was excellent. Staff called before appointments, checked on me after surgery, and were always helpful when we phoned with aftercare questions or concerns. Even the small details made a difference, like nurses and reception staff personally walking us to where we needed to go rather than simply pointing us in the right direction. My medication and aftercare instructions were extremely detailed, and I left feeling like I knew exactly what I needed to do. From start to finish, I felt cared for as a person rather than just another patient. The professionalism, kindness and standard of care were exceptional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tees Valley Hospital to anyone.
