  • The main reception staff were cordial and polite, their instructions clear. Although my appointment was delayed because of 2 long procedures in X-Ray, I was kept fully informed by Reception staff and 'squeezed' in, in between the 2 longer sessions. The Radiologist was friendly and efficient- another positive experience. Mr Gleeson was welcoming and friendly. All in all, a very positive experience.

  • Just recently had a total hip replacement and I received excellent care from all the staff from theatre staff, nursing care, physio, pharmacy, outpatients, xray, housekeeping. It was 5 star service. Not only the care and attention I received. The choice of food and it was so nutritious was excellent. THANK YOU

  • Very well run efficient hospital. The physios are excellent in particular (but it would be helpful after discharge home if they said what the essential exercises were in the early days. I thought they wanted me to do lots of different ones but it was too painful to do so. I had to ring for advice for what I had to do). I would go back to the Winfield if I needed further care.

  • I do not have health insurance and have paid to see Dr Lindsey over the last year and a half. The NHS waiting list to see a cardiologist was over 40 weeks at the time. It was a good decision and i have no regrets.

  • My experience was excellent from start to finish and I was seen much more quickly than I expected following my MRI scan. If I could make one suggestion, it would be that Reception staff respectfully remember that patients with school aged children may need to arrive on the morning of their op earlier than 7am, particularly if they live 45 mins away. A lovely nurse let me in at 6am where I quietly took a seat in Reception, as my husband had to get back home in time to take our daughters to the school bus. I was then curtly questioned and told that no patients should arrive until 7am, by one of the reception staff. Overall a good experience at the Winfield and Mr Holton and nursing care were excellent.

  • Every member of staff I encountered was friendly, polite and professional. My appointment was during rush-hour and nearby roads were very congested. For that reason, It’s important to allow plenty of travel time during peak periods.
