  • My experience was excellent from start to finish and I was seen much more quickly than I expected following my MRI scan. If I could make one suggestion, it would be that Reception staff respectfully remember that patients with school aged children may need to arrive on the morning of their op earlier than 7am, particularly if they live 45 mins away. A lovely nurse let me in at 6am where I quietly took a seat in Reception, as my husband had to get back home in time to take our daughters to the school bus. I was then curtly questioned and told that no patients should arrive until 7am, by one of the reception staff. Overall a good experience at the Winfield and Mr Holton and nursing care were excellent.

  • Every member of staff I encountered was friendly, polite and professional. My appointment was during rush-hour and nearby roads were very congested. For that reason, It’s important to allow plenty of travel time during peak periods.

  • During my consultation with Mr Gleeson, I explained that my goal was to return to sport and remain an active father for my young daughter. We agreed that an ACL reconstruction using a hamstring graft was the most appropriate course of action. Mr Gleeson clearly explained the risks associated with the procedure, which I fully understood and was comfortable proceeding with. In the nicest possible way, I hope I do not need to see Mr Gleeson again. However, if I experience any knee issues in the future, Mr Gleeson would be the first specialist I would consult.

  • Lovely hospital and surgery day was excellent. Only one issue I had, after being booked in and waiting over an hour, I was then told when questioned that I was in the wrong hospital. This after giving my details and being told to sit down. Was apologised too but was frustrating

  • Impressed by the efficient running of the hospital and appointment system. The courtesy and helpfulness of the desk staff made my first visit to the hospital easy to navigate. All the staff were polite and helpful. The ensuite accomodation was first class. The anaesthetist was excellent and allayed any worries before and during surgery.
