Winfield Hospital, Gloucester

I greatly appreciated having carpal tunnel release surgery as an NHS Patient by Miss Jurga Pikturnaite. Everything was clearly explained and surgery was done efficiently and painlessly under local anaesthetic with great support from other staff during the operation. All staff were welcoming, kind and caring from the lady who took me to my room from reception, nurse Arya Remesh-Kumar who looked after me in my room, the physiotherapist who explained about post-op exercises and the gentleman who kindly brought me a pot of tea and biscuits after the operation. My thanks also to the cleaners who prepared my spacious and comfortable private room and ensuite bathroom to a wonderful standard of cleanliness. I thoroughly recommend my surgeon and the Winfield Hospital for their excellent hand surgery service. 

All the staff from reception to x-ray, physio, porters, nurses and doctors, anaethetists at every level have been friendly, efficient, empathetic, communicative and helpful, through my whole experience of surgery and post surgery I feel my entire experience has been exceptional. 

The hospital was spotlessly clean and the meals tasty. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

You have all delivered care and treatment with skill, compassion, based in evidence and maintained a curiosity regarding the patient experience. Communication has been excellent form all members of your team. The environment and hotel services that support the delivery of care are excellent. You should all be very proud of the care you deliver and the way that you deliver it.

My overall recent experience at the Winfield Hospital has been excellent. Having an operation is always a stressful experience but this procedure was made so much easier because of your staff. Every single member of staff I experienced were friendly and helpful. Right from my initial visit to discuss my operation with Mr Holton, the reception staff, the nurses, the physiotherapist, the staff that brought me drink and food, nothing was too much trouble. I was always treated very well. The room I stayed for two days was spotless and comfortable. Thank you 

The Winfield seems very well run and all the staff I met were friendly, professional and efficient from the receptionists, medical staff, caterers and cleaners as well as the consultants. I couldn’t fault any of it.
