Our private GP service is provided by an experienced and well-respected local GP.  We offer appointments bookable in advance at times convenient to those busy during normal working hours. You will have immediate access to first class facilities including x-rays, ultrasounds, ECG's and blood tests.

The private GP service at Renacres Hospital offers easy access to a GP. Our appointment times mean that you will have sufficient time to discuss your health at length, you can simply use the service on an odd occasion alongside your NHS GP service or as often as you want.

Renacres Hospital now offers fast access to MRI scans without having to wait for a referral, as well as quick and accurate results as part of our all-in-one MRI package. The package starts from £400 and includes:

  • An initial consultation appointment with our Private GP who will make the MRI referral to our radiography department
  • MRI scan carried our at Renacres Hospital 
  • A follow up appointment with our Private GP to receive the scan results.

Renacres Hospital now offers fast access to echocardiogram scans without having to wait for a referral, as well as quick and accurate results as part of our all-in-one echocardiogram package. The package starts from £400 and includes: 

  • A consultation appointment to get the echocardiogram referral 
  • Echocardiogram scan 
  • A follow up appointment with our Private GP to receive the scan results.

Heart Health Package

£899 Initial appointment: Patient attends GP in OPD for 1 hour

  • Full heart and vascular history, family history and identification of risk factors
  • In depth health and lifestyle review
  • Dedicated time to address your concerns and answer questions
  • Full heart and vascular examination including, heart sounds, heart rate, lungs, peak flow, BP, all pulses, weight, height, BMI calculation, waist circumference
  • Urinalysis in outpatients
  • Patient informed of findings and given verbal recommendations
  • Patient will receive a written synopsis of the consultation

Patient attends for ECG and Heart Package Bloods

Follow up appointment: Patient attends GP for 30 minute follow up

  • Results explained
  • Q risk- 3 calculated and explained ( 10 year risk of heart attack and stroke)
  • Lifestyle discussion
  • Recommendations and further management considerations
  • Tailored next steps and referrals if appropriate
  • Patient will receive a personalised health report with a breakdown of all results along with expert insights, essential blood result interpretations and recommendations
  • Patient will receive copies of all results

Men’s Health package (most appropriate for ages 40 and over)

£995 Initial appointment: Patient attends GP in OPD for 1 hour

  • Full review of medical history, genito-urinary history, family history and identification of risk factors
  • In depth health and lifestyle review
  • Dedicated time to address your concerns and answer questions
  • Full heart and vascular examination (heart, BP, weight, BMI, waist circumference, pulses, heart sounds), lungs, peak flow, optional genitalia and testicular examination and optional internal digital rectal prostate examination with chaperone present
  • Urinalysis in outpatients
  • Patient informed of findings and given verbal recommendations
  • Counselling regarding blood tests (PSA, Testosterone and SHBG)
  • Patient will receive a written synopsis of the consultation

Patient attends for Men’s Health Package bloods and ECG

  • Bloods: FASTING. in view of the testosterone and SHBG, blood tests need to be taken between 7-11 am for accuracy

Follow up appointment: Patient sees GP for 30 min follow up appt

  • Results explained
  • Q risk 3 calculated and explained (10-year risk of stroke and heart attack)
  • Lifestyle discussion
  • Recommendations
  • Further management considerations
  • Patient will receive a clear, personalised health report with a breakdown of all results along with expert insights, essential blood result interpretations and recommendations
  • Patient will receive copies of all results

Optional USS testes £320
Optional parametric prostate MRI:  £585- (it is more expensive than an ordinary MRI), and includes contrast which involves needle in hand

Patients need to be aware that this is not a sexual health/infection screening assessment nor is it a fertility assessment, sperm samples are not analysed

Patients need to be aware that sensitive, personal history about erectile issues will be discussed with a female doctor

Patients need to be aware that the more investigations that are performed, the more likelihood of incidental findings which are often harmless or of low consequence but may, nevertheless lead to worry, repeat investigations or more invasive investigations. Patients also need to be aware that certain findings may increase any insurance policies they have or result in their legal requirement to inform the DVLA. Patients should be aware that the doctor may recommend other investigations in addition to the ones included in the package, depending on their findings.

Women’s Health Package (most appropriate for ages 40 and over)

£995 Initial appointment: Patient attends GP in OPD for 1 hour

  • Full review of medical history, gynaecology history, family history and identification of risk factors
  • Full heart and vascular examination (heart sounds, heart rate, BP, weight, BMI, waist circumference, pulses), lungs and peak flow, and optional breast/ vulval examination, optional speculum examination of vaginal walls and prolapse assessment, visual inspection of cervix, all with chaperone present
  • In depth health and lifestyle review
  • Dedicated time to address your concerns and answer questions
  • Urinalysis in outpatients
  • Patient informed of findings and given verbal recommendations
  • Counselling regarding blood tests (Ca 125)
  • Patient will receive a written synopsis of the consultation

Patient attends for Women’s Health Package bloods and ECG

  • Bloods all NON-FASTING. If patient has regular cycles, test should be done between days 1-3 ideally, due to the FSH and LH

Follow up appointment: Patient sees GP for 30 min follow up appt

  • Results explained
  • Q risk 3 calculated and explained (10-year risk of stroke and heart attack)
  • Lifestyle discussion
  • Recommendations
  • Further management considerations
  • Patient will receive a clear, personalised health report with a breakdown of all results along with expert insights, essential blood result interpretations and recommendations

Optional Trans Vaginal USS £354
Optional Pelvic Scan £320 - if patient uncomfortable with a TV scan: looking for endometrial thickness, fibroids, ovarian cysts, ovarian masses, free fluid

Patients need to be aware that a cervical smear is not offered
