The collaboration will give Ramsay patients fast, convenient access to self-pay online GP appointments, with seamless onward referrals into Ramsay’s network of hospitals and specialists where secondary care is required - creating a joined-up, end-to-end care journey.
The partnership brings together two leaders in their respective fields: Doctor Care Anywhere’s clinical expertise in virtual primary care with Ramsay Health Care UK’s breadth of secondary care services, ensuring patients receive the right care, in the right setting, at the right time.
Through this partnership, Ramsay Health Care UK patients will benefit from:
- Self-pay virtual GP appointments: Fast, convenient access to UK-registered GPs via video and phone consultations, available 24/7, giving patients timely medical advice from wherever they are.
- Seamless secondary care referrals: Where a GP consultation identifies the need for specialist treatment, patients will be offered a direct referral into Ramsay Health Care UK’s network of hospitals and consultants. Should the patient consent; the referral is made seamlessly and efficiently, removing friction from the care journey and reducing delays to diagnosis and treatment.
- Continuity of care: Where a referral is made, a full clinical summary will flow seamlessly between Doctor Care Anywhere’s virtual GPs and Ramsay’s secondary care teams, supporting well-informed clinical decision-making at every stage. With patient consent, this clinical record can also be shared with the patient’s NHS GP, ensuring their broader care team remains fully informed.
