This patient was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer by Aberdeen NHS after finding a tumour in a scan and biopsy, which luckily was caught early enough so symptoms weren't severe but needed treatment as soon as possible.
They were recommended to attend The Yorkshire Clinic by their son, who is a member of the recruitment team and Mr Mo Salhab, Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon, at The Yorkshire Clinic took the case on. The initial consultation was on the 11th November, then pre-assessment on the 14th November and the procedure was then carried out on 19th November, where Mr Salhab successfully removed the tumour and left the patient cancer free. This is just another testament to how swiftly the how team at The Yorkshire Clinic work.
This patient said, "Mr Salhab was very professional, thorough and left no stone unturned. He was very compassionate and made me feel very relaxed as I knew he would take care of me. The staff were considerate and respectful to the situation I was in and they made me feel very welcome which was needed with such a stressful diagnosis.
This treatment literally saved my life as we caught the cancer early enough so that I can live a happy life going forward. I advise others thinking about treatment to trust the Ramsay team and their knowledge, as without their speed and knowledge I may not have had the same positive outcome!"
This patient is currently in early retirement and is enjoying painting and decorating in their spare time.
