  • Wow what an amazing experience. I just had surgery with Prof Drew and I couldn’t have been looked after better from the start. Steve Ellis really put me at ease when I was admitted, great humorous guy. All the nurses were fantastic and couldn’t have done more for me. I want to give a special mention to Lisa who cared for me all night. She was so attentive when I was sick and made me the best cup of tea in the morning. My anaesthetist and his assistant (Dr English and Olivia) were so reassuring as I had never been put to sleep before. I had a private room and nothing was too much trouble. I wasn’t rushed to leave the following day. I truly felt like I was in the best place with the best surgeon and team. Thank you Duchy. ❤️

  • Amazing treatment from start to finish - all staff were professional, caring, understanding, apologetic and considerate of my needs at all times. I cannot fault any of the staff whatsoever - very high quality of care given. My only criticism is that my room was outdated and needed to be brought in line with other rooms but it was clean at all times and did not distract from the level of care given. A huge thank you to all staff.

  • My experience here at The Woodlands was a positive one . Consultant care by Miss Shukla , outstanding and the nurses and all health professionals looked after me with great respect . My surgery went well and pre and post op care was great . Food was great , didn’t have the best appetite but everything looked appetising and decent portions . Well done everyone .

  • Referred for cataract surgery via the NHS. The pre-surgery appointments were very thorough. I was given lots of written information as well. I spoke to Mr Ahmed who carried out both operations. He was very professional and kind. All the people I spoke to did their best to put me at ease and answered my questions. I also appreciated the follow up phone calls 24 hours afterwards and the assurance that I could contact the hospital if I had any problems or worries following surgery.
