My shoulder surgery at Ashtead Hospital was a profoundly positive, safe, warm, and deeply human experience that completely restored my faith in medical care and patient safety. From the moment I was admitted, the entire team—including Mr. Little, Dr. Pathma, Dr. Frans-Asmah, and the dedicated nursing staff—made me feel completely safe, listened to without judgment, and fully respected. I was especially touched by their deep discretion regarding my medical history and past traumas. Special mention goes to nurse Jade, who stayed two hours past her shift to ensure I was completely cared for after witnessing an episode, prompting an immediate, coordinated response from the doctors. The impact on my physical and emotional well-being has been extraordinary. My recovery has been seamless. Mr. Little and Dr. Pathma didn't just restore my arm; they protected my health and well-being every step of the way. I cannot thank the entire team enough for such a compassionate and transformative experience.

My Mum had a hip replacement here yesterday and 24 hours later she is home. She is 72 and I / we as a family, are so truly grateful to every single member of staff at this hospital. Every single one of them have been so kind and caring. They are all a credit to their profession. Anyone thinking of coming here, we would truly recommend.

My husband had hip replacement surgery on 27/7 and we would just like to say a big thank you to all the staff who were very friendly and caring. Special thanks to the main receptionist who was very smiley, friendly and reassuring; Surgeon - Mr Veitch; P A to Mr Veitch - Sally and also Ben; Pre Op Assessment - Christina Newman (Chrissy); Nurses - Lyndsey, Gemma, Mary and others whose names we didn't get (sorry); Physios - Maya and C J; and also the catering team where nothing was too much trouble. I was sent by my doctor's surgery to Winfield Hospital. I couldn't fault the way I was treated by anybody,(reception,nurses,consultant) they were all polite,friendly & helpful. Even though I was NHS there was no difference in the way I was treated,it was a pleasent change to actually be listened to by the Consultant. I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend Mr.M.Scott to anybody. Extremley happy with my visits & my procedure. I would highly reccommend Winfield Hospital to anyone.

I had a one night stay in The Rivers hospital following a hysterectomy performed by Miss Al Farra. I cannot not praise Miss Al Farra, the anesthesiologist or the nurses that took such good care of me enough. All of the staff involved in my care went above and beyond and were so kind and caring, whilst always professional 🥰 I honestly can't thank you enough

Yesterday I had cataract surgery at Fulwood Hall hospital and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. I was very nervous beforehand but everyone I came into contact with was amazing, so calm and reassuring, both the nurses who looked after me prior to going to theatre-Michelle Sandham and Irish Michelle (apologies I don’t know her surname) - were just so lovely and made me feel much more relaxed. Peter who took me to theatre was the same and my surgeon Mr Vose was incredible. The whole procedure went so smoothly, totally painless, Mr Vose explained what was happening all the way through-I cannot fault the whole experience and would highly recommend Fulwood Hall to anyone needing cataract surgery.

This was my first time I had been to this hospital and I was pleasantly surprised and amazed how well run it was. I was originally referred by my NHS doctor to the hospital for tests and after an initial consultant visit I was quickly diagnosed and began my treatment. My treatment will be continued over the coming months but I have full confidence in my recovery. I would without question recommend Rivers Hospital as a place to consider for your treatment if necessary.
