I recently had a PKR here and what can I say! The rooms are lovely, ALL the staff are lovely, professional, caring and there if you have a wobble, which i did. Everything was great. From the moment I arrived in the morning until I left the following day, nothing was too much trouble. What a place! There is no way I could thank them enough for what they did, how they were and for being there. Thank you West Midlands Hospital you really are a credit to the health services.

I recently had surgery with Mr Chan at Woodthorpe Hospital, two weeks ago today, and I can honestly say that he has been amazing from my very first appointment, through to surgery and now at my two-week post-operative check. From the beginning, I felt genuinely listened to and made to feel seen. Mr Chan took the time to listen to my concerns, explain everything clearly and involve me in decisions about my care. I was also offered choices regarding my anaesthetic, which made me feel reassured and that my preferences were genuinely valued. The care I received throughout the whole process has been excellent, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything has gone so far. Mr Chan has been professional, approachable and caring, and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone considering surgery. Woodthorpe Hospital itself is a lovely, clean and well-maintained hospital. There is good parking, and all of the staff I encountered were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. I am also due to have another surgery with Mr Chan later this year, which I’m actually very reassured about given how positive my experience has been so far. I wouldn’t hesitate to put my trust in him again. A huge thank you to Mr Chan and the whole team at Woodthorpe Hospital for making what could have been a daunting experience feel so positive and reassuring.

I recently had varicose vein surgery at Rivers Hospital and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel welcome, comfortable and well looked after. The hospital itself is lovely – clean, calm and very well organised, which immediately helped put me at ease. I would especially like to thank my nurse, Annette Matthews, who was absolutely wonderful throughout my stay. She was professional, polite, friendly and incredibly caring. She was more like a guardian angel than just my nurse. Her kindness and reassuring manner made such a difference to my experience. After the procedure, she took the time to show me and explain everything I needed to know about my aftercare, including my dressings and compression stockings, so I knew exactly what I needed to do once I got home. A huge thank you also to my consultant, Mr Jonathan Refson, for his professionalism and excellent care. He took the time to explain the procedure, what to expect and how everything would be carried out, and I never felt rushed when speaking to him. Both he and my anaesthetist came to see me in my room before the operation, talked me through everything and gave me the opportunity to ask any questions. Mr Refson also came to see me afterwards to explain how the procedure had gone and what would happen next. I really appreciated that personal approach and the time he took with me both before and after the surgery. The whole experience, from admission through to discharge, was handled with such professionalism. Having surgery naturally makes you a little apprehensive, but everyone I met at Rivers made the day so much easier and more comfortable than I had expected. It has now been seven days since my operation and I’m really pleased with how my recovery is going so far, no bruising, no swelling and no pain. I couldn’t have hoped for a better start to my recovery. I am extremely grateful to Annette, Mr Refson, my anaesthetist and the entire team who looked after me. Thank you all for taking such good care of me. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rivers Hospital.

Just want to thank everyone involved at Woodlands Hospital whilst undergoing shoulder surgery. Everyone I encountered was friendly, polite and the treatment/ care was 10 out of ten. My pain after surgery has been minimal and in no doubt is due to the skills and aftercare of the whole team at Woodlands. Apologies I did not catch everyone’s names but special mention to Physio Amrik and all the nurses in the Shoulder surgery department for making the experience as worry free as possible. I would highly recommend anyone considering any type of shoulder surgery to not hesitate with opting for Woodlands. Thanks again Demos

I had an excellent experience at The Rivers hospital from start to finish. The booking process was clear, professional and efficient, making it very easy to arrange my procedure. All paperwork was straightforward, easy to understand and provided in a timely manner. Throughout the process, any telephone calls or enquiries I made were answered promptly and courteously. The staff were always helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to provide clear information whenever needed. On the day of my procedure, I was seen promptly and felt well cared for from the moment I arrived. Every member of the team demonstrated kindness, professionalism, and genuine empathy. They took the time to explain each step of the process, helping me feel comfortable and reassured throughout my visit. Very Good, only issue was the physio Department, I had to phone them on various occasions for advice. It took quite a long time for them to get back to me. The receptionist in the physio department was not very welcoming.
