  • I had a breast reduction done here and it’s been such a positive experience. I was looked after by so many nice, kind people. I wish I knew all of their names, I got a a few names though. The anaesthetist, Jennine Ratcliffe was just so lovely, always smiling and making you feel good. Jossy, one of the many lovely nurses was so friendly, warm and kind, we had so many chats whilst she cared for me. Roxanne was another , she was lovely and always so happy. David the doctor, all the porters that I saw, the catering staff that came to my room, everyone that I met made it a lovely experience for me. My surgeon was Anthony Barabas, a wonderful surgeon and such a kind compassionate man. I was very comfortable in a nice room too.Thank you to ALL the nurses and everyone that made it nice for me.

  • would have given 5 stars but the appointment process requires serious review. First proceedure - arrived 12.15 - frosty reception - Prepped by 1.00pm - waited till 5.15pm before being taken to theatre. Second proceedure - arrived 12.15 - frosty reception - prepped by 1.00pm - waited till 4.15pm before being takent to theatre. All patients are asked to arrive by 12.30 then have to sit & wait for their turn with very little communication. I would strongly recommend that this system be changed.

  • I had an NHS Funded surgery here yesterday on the 10th July under the Colorectal team. I have to say that the staff, including the admissions/discharge nurses, HCAs and anaesthetist were absolutely amazing. The surgeon was a stereotypical surgeon I'm afraid, very minimal understanding of a bedside manner, no time for questions, dismissive, a god-like arrogance - the usual. I would like to say that the consultant anaesthetist, who I can't remember the name of, was the most kind, funny, reassuring and passionate medical professional I have ever come across - and if this feedback could make his way back to him, I would greatly appreciate it. There were some ways in which the experience could have been improved. A debrief after surgery would be nice (I didn't even know if my surgery was done via burning or surgical excision, whether to keep replacing the gauze, when I could shower, what side effects to be aware of, nor was I given compression stockings). The surgeon actually having a discussion with the patient instead of a quick hello and signature in rhe consent form would be reassuring. Overall it was a great experience, but not exceptional as the aftercare protocols and advice was scarily limited.

  • Recently had a total hip replacement performed by Mr Christos Plakogiannis. Seamless from the onset. One amazing surgeon, an anaesthetist and theatre staff who were brilliant. Caring nurses and attentive health care workers. From being absolutely terrified I am now walking with confidence and pain free. My life changed for the better 2 weeks ago because of some consumate professionals and I really can't thank them enough.

And if course special thanks to Mr Mo Salhab and Dr Wassen, who were very professional, had excellent communication skill and were really lovely. • Firstly, I want to express my immense gratitude for the NHS. I am so incredibly grateful that I was able to have my procedure at a private hospital, Woodlands Kettering by Ramsay Health Care. My experience from start to finish has been absolutely amazing. My initial consultation with Mr Kelkar was highly informative. He was incredibly sympathetic, understanding, and managed to get me onto the waiting list very quickly. He explained the procedure in full detail and answered all of my questions with a very polite and professional manner. On the day of my surgery, the exceptional care continued. The reception staff on arrival were so friendly and welcoming. The nurses who prepared me for my procedure were reassuring and went the extra mile to make me feel completely comfortable; they clearly have a true passion for what they do, and it really shows. My post-surgery care was amazing. Because I was under anaesthetic, I have unfortunately forgotten a few names, which I am incredibly sorry for, but I do remember Emma and Sue. They were honestly fantastic, carrying out regular checks and being so genuinely caring. The entire team working on the day of my surgery (3rd July 2026) thoroughly deserves commendation. The facilities themselves are lovely, beautiful, and spotlessly clean. I stayed overnight, which was a wonderful experience; the hospital bed was very comfortable, and the room had a smart TV and great climate control to keep it nice and cool on a hot day. Regular food and drinks were also provided. Unfortunately, I required a further visit to the hospital yesterday, but I am so appreciative of how the team managed to see me on the day with such short notice. A massive, massive thank you to Cristina, a nurse on the outpatient ward, who was honestly incredible. She regularly checked on my welfare and was so polite, caring, and courteous. She managed to fit my catheter with minimal pain or discomfort, making a difficult situation so much more manageable. I am so, so grateful to her. Thank you so much to the whole Woodlands Hospital team. I really appreciate everything you have done for me so far. I cannot recommend this hospital highly enough. Oliver C

  • An excellent service from Woodthorpe Hospital. I went in for my first ever operation and truth be told I was rather apprehensive. I received a left hip replacement by Mr Badhe. From the moment I arrived I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist who was very polite. The medical team were all professional, conscientious and considerate and explained everything to me, listened to me and never made me feel rushed or concerned. A very positive experience. A special mention to the whole nursing team, especially Francesca, who was fantastic. A big thank you to everyone at Woodthorpe for looking after me. I would definitely recommend your services to others.
