It seems the Oaks Hospital has lately gone downhill a bit. Many of its doctors are only working there on a part time basis, e.g. main day job is with the NHS, e.g. in an NHS Hospital, and then they earn some extra cash privately in the evening, when they are already tired from the day job. So far we have seen 3 different specialists where none of them was of any help for my chronic health condition, so I am not impressed here at all. Also, the payment systems used by the Oaks Hospital are a bit chaotic. One doctor who we consulted in the evening always brought his own card reader, probably didn't trust other payment services used by the Oaks Hospital. The MRI Scan department only accepted bank transfers, no acceptance of card payments. And some services in the Oaks Hospital use an online payment service, but that one doesn't accept American Express, nor does it work for foreign Mastercard.

I was booked in for a knee arthroscopy with Mr Nitin Badhe, from the moment I was booked in I felt very well looked after and kept fully informed of what would be happening during my stay.Francesca was my designated nurse for the day and she was very attentive and reassuring as I was quite nervous, overall it made a quite traumatic day for me much easier.Thank you to everyone at Woodthorpe Hospital involved in my stay and would definitely recommend it

I had ACL surgery on 30/10/25. All of the staff were excellent, from the nurses through to the surgeon. The operation was stress free with minimal waiting times, and it was successfully performed by Mr Anand and his team. After the operation, I was attentively cared to by the nurse and physio, who answered all of my questions and constantly helped me. The food was also great. The whole experience honestly couldn’t have been any better, so thank you to all of the staff. Would thoroughly recommend.
