Maggie Gardner qualified as a State Registered Nurse in 1979.
With a background in intensive care, surgical nursing and accident and emergency, she took a Ward Sister’s post at the newly opened Ashtead Hospital.

Later, she moved to the Outpatients Department and started a Microsclerotherapy service with a Consultant Vascular Surgeon.
