Clinical interests

Mr Vijay Wagh is an experienced oculoplastics, cornea, cataract and laser eye surgeon. He was trained at Moorfields Eye Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital, London. He has published several research publications and is an invited speaker at a number of international meetings. Mr Wagh is involved in teaching on a number of national and international surgical courses. He is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmology as well as the European society of cataract, cornea and refractive surgeons. 

Mr Wagh provides clinical care for all emergency and general ophthalmic conditions and specialises in oculoplastics, external eye and cataract surgeries. 

Procedures / treatments Mr Wagh specialises in:  

Cataract Surgery: Micro incision cataract surgery in complex cases, phacoemulsification, laser cataract surgery, refractive approach to cataract surgery: toric lenses, premium lens. monovision.

Oculoplastic and aesthetic surgery, eyelid surgery, lacrimal (tear duct) surgery for watery eyes, minor plastic surgery procedures such as the removal of moles & skin tags and eyelid lesions, blepharospasm, thyroid eye disease, orbital diseases and surgery, eye socket surgery, peri-ocular tumor management and reconstructive surgery.

External eye disease: dry eye and Sjogren’s syndrome, skin-related ocular surface problems: ocular rosacea, allergic eye disease, pterygium.
