As a mid career GP I have extensive generalist knowledge managing chronic disease and the interplay with our whole selves. The thing I have come to realise is listening is what matters most, the patient’s story is so key to revealing what is going on be it in the physical sphere or where there is overlap into areas of psychological, social or spiritual need. I have a particular interest in mental health, I was the mental health lead for Lincolnshire in a previous role.
