Dr Sajid Khan is a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine with extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of complex lung and breathing conditions. He currently holds an NHS consultant post and combines clinical practice with leadership, education and research.
Dr Khan completed his specialist training in Respiratory Medicine and General Internal Medicine in the East Midlands and was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2020. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) and is on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register.
Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Khan holds several senior leadership roles within the NHS. He is the Clinical Lead for Sleep Medicine and Ventilation Services, overseeing assessment and treatment of sleep related breathing disorders and non invasive ventilation. He is also Clinical Lead for Tuberculosis and non tuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) services, providing specialist care for complex respiratory infections.
Dr Khan has specialist expertise across a broad range of respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer diagnostics, sleep apnoea, tuberculosis, chronic cough and complex breathlessness. He is experienced in advanced respiratory procedures such as bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and medical thoracoscopy.
Dr Khan has a strong commitment to postgraduate education, clinical governance and maintaining high professional standards. He supervises and mentors doctors in training and contributes to service development, audit and quality improvement.
