Mr Rob Pulter is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Truro, Cornwall who specialises in hand and wrist surgery
As a full time hand surgeon his expertise covers all conditions affecting the hand and wrist, both bony and soft tissue. He has
a particular interest in nerve entrapment syndromes such as carpal tunnel syndrome.
Further specialist interests include Dupuytren’s contracture; skin cancer and soft tissue reconstruction.
He believes strongly in patient led care and decision making. The importance of clear communication between doctors, patients and hand therapists ensures a good team approach.
He teaches on local and national courses in hand surgery and is a university academic tutor for Peninsula/University of
Exeter medical students, as well as a clinical
supervisor for F2 doctors.
He underwent undergraduate training at the Royal Free
Hospital School of Medicine in London.
Basic surgical training was in the Southwest of England. His specialist orthopaedic rotation was also in the South West.
Prestigious Fellowships in Hand and Peripheral nerve
surgery were completed at Nottingham,
Melbourne and Sydney.
