Mr Masood, consultant ENT surgeon
Mr Masood is a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist at Peterborough City Hospital. His area of surgical interest is Endoscopic ENT surgery e.g., endoscopic ear surgery, endoscopic orbital decompression surgery, endoscopic nasal sinus surgery and endoscopic throat/ swallow disorder surgery. Mr Masood is one of the handful ENT surgeons in East Anglia who performs keyhole ear surgery mostly without any visible surgical cuts or scars. He is the only ENT surgeon in the region who does corrective surgery through keyhole approach for bulging eyes due to overactive thyroid disease. He also has extensive experience in management of benign head and neck lumps, paediatric and general ear, nose and throat related conditions.
Mr Masood has been a Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh since 2010 having passed his FRCS(ORL-HNS) exams. He was awarded Membership of Royal College of Surgeons of England and Diploma in Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery (DO-HNS) in 2006.
He has trained in various hospitals in East of England region including Peterborough City Hospital, Cambridge University Hospital and Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. Mr Masood spent more than two years in Australia while doing ENT Fellowship where he gathered extensive experience in a range of Ears, Nose and Throat related health conditions.
Mr Masood has presented papers in various international and national conferences and has several publications in scientific journals with high Impact Factor. He is currently the assigned Educational Supervisor for ENT surgical trainees in East of England Deanery.
