Clinical interests

Knee surgery in particular primary and revision total knee replacement, unicompartmental and patellofemoral knee replacement. Sports Knee Injury and Ligament Reconstruction including surgery of the anterior cruciate ligament, posterior cruciate ligament and posterolateral corner. Knee arthroscopy and mensical surgery including meniscal repair. High tibial osteotomy for young knee arthritis. Anterior knee pain and patellofemoral disorders including instability. Cartilage injury and repair.

I specialise in custom made knee replacements which are patient specific.

Academic background

I undertook Fellowships in knee surgery at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and Norfolk & Norwich Hospital. I have published papers in several orthopaedic journals on drains in orthopaedic surgery, drain use in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and the role of lateral retinacular release in knee surgery.
