Mr Nigam trained as an ENT surgeon with experience in Cambridge, Birmingham and Newcastle as a trainee. He was awarded the TWJ Fellowship to work at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town. He has worked at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals since 1996 and is the Chairman Of the Head & Neck Cancer NSSG for Lancashire and South Cumbria. Mr Ajay Nigam has been awarded the Lifetime achievement Award by Swallows Charity and took part in the Blackpool Medics BBC TV series.
