Ms Hazel Walkden specialises in the pre and post-operative treatment of patients with orthopaedic and gynaecological conditions at Mount Stuart Hospital
Hazel qualified whilst a serving member of the Royal Air Force from the RAF School of Physiotherapy at RAF Halton in 1976. Throughout her career she has worked in various specialities in hospitals in the UK and at the Joint Services hospital at RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus.
At Mount Stuart Hospital Hazel specialises in the pre and post-operative treatment of patients with orthopaedic and gynaecological conditions. Her outpatient clinic addresses Womens’ Health issues. Continence treatment includes the relatively new technique of tibial nerve stimulation and Hazel works closely with the Consultant Gynaecologists in Torbay.
Hazel has continued to play netball and basketball since her service days and reached County level standards. She now tries to pass these skills on to her granddaughters – when she can persuade them to take their football boots off!
