Mr Biswas completed his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training at Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore, a major tertiary referral centre in India, where he later worked as a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist from 2006-2009. After relocating to the UK in 2009, he completed his re-training and has worked as an NHS consultant since 2015. He has more than 25 years of a broad-based experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, with a sustained focus on the management of pelvic floor disorders, urinary incontinence and menstrual issues requiring hysteroscopic procedures.
Mr Biswas is actively involved in education and training. He is an examiner for the final MRCOG examinations at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists since 2018 and a panel member for the national selection of obstetrics and gynaecology trainees for Health Education England. Mr. Biswas is a trainer for the RCOG Ambulatory hysteroscopy courses and is a RCOG AAC panel member representing the Royal College of OG in Consultant recruitment interviews across the country. Mr. Biswas has authored over 25 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts and contributes to the national database of the British Society of Urogynaecology. Mr. Biswas is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the British Society of Urogynaecology.
