Mr. Bye is a highly experienced, fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist expertise in hip and knee replacement, including complex and revision surgery, as well as lower limb trauma.
He completed his six-year Trauma & Orthopaedic higher surgical training on the prestigious Cambridge training programme. He has been dual fellowship trained over two years at internationally renowned institutions for complex and revision joint replacement: The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, London and The Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia. This has allowed him to manage the most complex of cases and offer the highest quality treatments and long-term results.

Mr Bye earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery Degree (MBChB) at The University of Manchester in 2010. During this time, he also completed an intercalated Bachelor of Science with Honours Degree (BSc Hons) at University College London (UCL) in 2009 as well as an undergraduate Orthopaedic Special Research Component, receiving distinction.
Subsequently, Mr Bye completed two years of house officer training at Barts Health NHS Trust, and during this time, was voted by his peers to receive the trusts ‘Best Surgical House Officer’ award. Following this, he served as an Anatomy Lecturer at King’s College London under the renowned Professor Harold Ellis. His foundations in surgical anatomy enabled him to earn Membership to the Royal College of Surgeons prior to starting basic surgical training.
He completed his basic surgical training, then higher surgical training, on the prestigious Cambridge training programme having ranked 12th nationally in the highly competitive Trauma & Orthopaedics national selection process. He tailored his training on hip & knee arthroplasty and trauma surgery and achieved numerous awards including an AO Scholarship to the British Orthopaedic Association Future Leaders Programme.
To further refine his expertise, Mr. Bye undertook two years of advanced dual fellowship training in complex and revision joint replacement at internationally recognised centres for this:
