Mr Kosuge obtained a Bachelor in Medical Sciences (BMedSci) during his time at The University of Nottingham and completed a laboratory based medical research project which culminated in his first medical publication. He has since maintained his interest in academic writing and has written chapters for several orthopaedic textbooks and published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals. Since 2010, he has also been a reviewer for The Bone & Joint Journal which enables him to maintain skills required for the critical analysis of scientific articles and keep up to date with the latest in orthopaedic research.
Mr Kosuge is currently Principal Investigator at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust for the national NIHR-funded study entitled the 'Obesity and Arthritis of the Knee Study (OAKS)', reflecting his active contribution to orthopaedic research at a national level.
