He is a resectional cancer surgeon but also offer benign bowel resections, hernia surgery, coloproctology and lower gastrointestinal surgery services. Abdominal surgery is mainly perform using minimal access techniques, utilising a laparoscopic or robotic approach. He was a commissioned medical officer in the Royal Navy from 2007 to 2015. Mr Roy has a busy NHS practice and works at both Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital. He lives in Endon in the Staffordshire Moorlands along with his wife and two dogs.
