Mr Yassa is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Manchester University NHS foundation Trust.

Mr Yassa graduated in 1998 and obtained his M.Sc. in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2002. Mr Yassa has completed his Higher Orthopaedic training in Manchester rotation. Mr Yassa gained his Royal College of Surgeon of England membership in 2008 and the intercollegiate fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2018. In addition Mr Yassa specialized in lower limb arthroplasty and  various aspects of Knee surgery.

Throughout his orthopaedic  training in the north west, Mr Yassa  focused on lower limb surgery. therefore, Mr Yassa achieved his  requirements  for completion of his training a year earlier than his certification date. Mr Yaassa spent the last year of training at specialist units in the North West such as Wrightington Hospital and Stockport Knee unit.

Mr Yassa was competitively selected and completed a Post-CCT DePuy Knee Fellowship at York Teaching Hospital NHS foundation Trust. During his fellowship, he gained significant experience through exposure to high volume of knee surgery including knee arthroplasty, various knee soft tissue procedures and joint preservation surgery.

Mr Yassa  completed a travelling Knee reconstruction (Patello-femoral disorders) Fellowship with Dr. David DeJour, Lyon, France.

Mr Yassa  has led innovation and the introduction of new services related to trauma and knee surgery at Manchester University NHS foundation Trust.

Mr Yassa has numerus publication, national and international presentations themed on Knee surgery and trauma.
