Dr Muthukumar completed his clinical oncology training at University Hospital of Leicester in 2005. He was awarded a Keith Durrant memorial scholarship and undertook post-graduate fellowship training at the British Columbia Cancer Centre, Canada. He trained in intensity modulated radiation technology (IMRT) and was involved in research projects of IGRT. Following that, he was appointed as a Consultant in Oncology and currently works at Colchester General. He is the lead clinician in management of lung and kidney cancer and is a specialist in administration of systemic chemotherapy, targeted therapy, radiotherapy ( IMRT, IGRT), and radionuclide therapy. Dr Muthukumar has a keen interest in clinical research and has been the Principal investigator in NRCN and industry led commercial clinical trials in lung and urological cancers. He has published his work in several reputable journals.
