Dr Nick Robinson is a Cardiologist at Oaks Hospital specialising in stent insertion.
Dr Robinson is highly experienced in stent insertion. He performs stenting procedures for patients at The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. His specialist interests include screening for coronary disease and assessing cardiac risk. General cardiology interests include management of lipids abnormalities, coronary risk assessment, arrhythmias, heart failure and heart valve disease.
The Oaks Hospital provides access to CT scanning of the Coronary Arteries to assess patients with chest discomfort or to evaluate patients cardiac risk.
Dr Robinson graduated in medical sciences from Cambridge University. He then went on to complete his clinical studies at St Thomas’ Hospital in London and then subsequently as cardiology registrar at King’s College Hospital. He was appointed senior registrar and clinical lecturer at St Bartholomew’s and The London Chest Hospitals where he had training in angiography, balloon angioplasty and stent insertion. Dr Robinson has researched and published widely on the use of stents for the treatment of coronary disease. During his research he was awarded a British Heart Foundation Research Fellowship
Dr Robinson is an active member and presenter at The British Cardiac Intervention Society as well as becoming a member of The Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 1990, he subsequently became a Fellow in 2007.
