Mr Pillai started his specialist urology training at Cambridge University Hospital followed by sub specialisation in urological cancer surgery at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, particularly of the kidney, bladder and prostate. He offers minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery for these conditions. Mr Pillai maintains an active interest in clinical research projects in prostate and bladder cancer at the Colchester General Hospital.After qualifying with a first class honours in medical sciences, Mr Pillai complteted extensive training in general surgery for four years. Following his membership examinations from the Royal College of Surgeons, he studied in a full-time clinical research post in bladder cancer at the Imperial College, London, where he gained a MSc degree.
