Academic background

Mr Paniker completed his medical training from Manipal University in India.  His initial orthopaedic training was in Birmingham, Manchester and North Wales and he completed his orthopaedic registrar training in Merseyside.

He secured an MSc in Trauma and Orthopaedics from Warwick University with first class honors. He undertook his specialist training in Hand and Wrist Surgery from the Manchester Hand Unit and Birmingham Hand Unit and he completed a BOA Fellowship in Upper limb and Hand Surgery at The Wirral University Teaching Hospital. 

He has presented papers at several national and international meetings and published papers and book chapters in his speciality. He is currently the clinical lead for audit and research at his NHS Trust.

Mr Paniker teaches on orthopaedic courses and is actively involved in training orthopaedic doctors.
