Dr Jagathesan graduated from Guy's Hospital Medical School in 1993. He subsequently undertook specialist training in cardiology across a number of London teaching hospitals including a period of research into coronary physiology and cardiac stress testing as an MRC Fellow at Imperial College London. He was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow and Barts and the London in 2005. Dr Jagathesan has been the Lead Cardiologist for the Essex Cardiac and Stroke Network and is currently the Essex Cardiac Lead for the East of England Strategic Clinical Network. He is also currently the Lead Cardiologist for the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre.
