Academic Background
Dr Watson initially trained as a pharmacist and was the Principal Pharmacist at the St John's Institute of Dermatology at St Thomas' Hospital in London. Following on from this, Dr Watson studied medicine at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, after which she worked at Guy's, Eastbourne and Southampton Hospitals. She became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2001 and subsequently a fellow in 2013. Dr Watson further trained as a Specialist Registrar in Dermatology at King's College Hospital in London, also spending a year at the St John's Institute of Dermatology, St Thomas' Hospital. She was then appointed Consultant Dermatologist at Orpington Hospital in 2007 and was Lead Clinician in Dermatology, at Orpington Hospital, King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust until June 2015.
