Dr James Ramsay trained in Leeds at the internationally renowned St James' teaching hospital. He successfully completed higher training in both respiratory and general internal medicine and completed sub-speciality training in lung cancer, airways disease, intestinal lung disease, pulmonary infection including tuberculosis and bronchiectasis, sleep medicine, ventilation, cough and pulmonary vascular disease. Dr Ramsay provides a comprehensive respiratory outpatient practice at Rivers Hospital in Sawbridgeworth. He has access to excellent diagnostic facilities including full repertoire of imaging and detailed physiological studies including full lung function and sleep studies. He is thorough, has high clinical standards and respond to all requests on an urgent basis. Dr Ramsay's NHS practice is based at the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital where he looks after inpatients and carries out fibreoptic bronchoscopy, EBUS and pleural procedures under ultrasound guidance.
