Mr Garimella is an expert in colorectal and pelvic floor surgery,
He is a medical graduate from the University of Health Sciences in India and graduated in 1997.
His postgraduate training was in the North West of the UK and Yorkshire.
After completing basic surgical training in Manchester, he went on to undertake a period of research in cancer biology that led to the award of an MD degree from the University of Hull.
Mr Garimella successfully completed specialist training in general and colorectal surgery in the Yorkshire region. Towards the end of training he went on a clinical fellowship in laparoscopic colorectal surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Centre in NewYork, USA for a year and then worked as a post CCT fellow in pelvic floor surgery at Castle Hill Hospital, Cottingham before taking up his current appointment at Royal Stoke University Hospital.
