Dr Anne Ward has over 20 years’ experience as a Consultant Dermatologist, treating a full range of skin, hair and nail disorders
Dr Ward’s subspecialist dermatology practice includes:

·         Skin surgery for moles, cysts, tags and warts
·         Whole body mole check including Dermoscopy
·         Vulval conditions including Lichen Sclerosus
·         Rashes affecting the Face

In addition, Dr Ward has 10 years’ experience as an Aesthetic Practitioner, providing the full range of Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures including dermal fillers and injectables.  

Academic background

Dr Ward specialises in skin surgery for moles, cysts, tags and warts, whole body mole checks including Dermoscopy and skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Dr Ward qualified with First Class Honours in 1987 from The Queen’s University of Belfast, coming first in her Year. Undergraduate Prizes include The Whitla Prize in Therapeutics and Pharmacology, The Taylor Prize in Dermatology, The Sinclair Medal in Surgery and The Final MB Prize. Dr Ward achieved the postgraduate qualification of Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 1990 following which she was awarded a Research Fellowship. In 1993 she completed her Doctor of Medicine by Thesis.  
Her specialist dermatology training was undertaken in Belfast, Birmingham and Bristol, before being appointed Consultant Dermatologist in 1996. As a dermatology trainee, her Essay “The Impact of the New Genetics on Dermatology” won the Dowling Club Prize (British Association of Dermatologists). She was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London) in 2002, for which she was short-listed for the prestigious Goulstonian Lectureship. She was elected President of the West Midlands Dermatological Society in 2016.
