Mr Sohail Butt MBBS, FRCS (Ed) currently works as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in upper limb surgery, including arthroscopic surgery and joint replacement at Dudley Group of Hopsitals NHS Trust in the West Midlands since 1996. Mr Butt received his basic surgical training in the South East and Black Country, West Midlands. He passed his FRCS in 1990 and continued with his Orthopaedic training in the Black Country and at St Mary's Hospital in London before being appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon in 1996. During his training, Mr Butt took the opportunity to visit several UK and international centres and underwent training in arthroscopic surgery & arthroplasty of the shoulder & elbow. He has continued to maintain this interest in both the NHS and private sector. He has given lectures to General Practitioner colleagues and also para-medical staff regarding upper limb problems and their management. Mr Butt has been involved in research and taken part in nationwide studies on the upper limb as principal investigator (UKUFF, CSAW and UK FROST studies)
