Dr Nishtar is an experienced Consultant Cardiologist who has been based at Kettering General Hospital as a senior Clinician for over 10 years. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a member of the European Society of Cardiology. He is dual accredited in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He received his initial interventional cardiology training at a prestigious quaternary interventional Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Centre in Pakistan followed by further enhanced specialised training in teaching hospitals in the West Midlands and subsequently at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester. His training and experience encompass the length and breadth of Cardiology. He is multi skilled in all aspects of interventional Cardiology, Cardiac pacemaker devices and advance imaging. He is also well published in peer reviewed journals and has been involved in innovative service developments. In recognition of his services he has been presented with the Clinical Excellence Awards by the Trust.
