After graduation in 1996, my initial training was ingeneral surgery, during which I developed an interest in reconstructivesurgery. After my FRCS from Glasgow, I started my plastic surgery training inYorkshire. I proceeded to the Birmingham Hand Centre in 2011 for a Fellowshipin Hand, Wrist and Microvascular reconstruction.
My subspecialty interest besides hand surgery is burns andlower limb reconstruction, including microsurgery.
My current NHS practice is the Pinderfields Regional BurnsCentre as a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive, Burns and Hand Surgeon.
I have more than 30 publications in peer reviewedjournals, with over180 citations and over 45 presentations in national andinternational conferences.
