Academic Background

Since appointment at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant Urologist in 2010, Mr Stewart has worked there and at The Yorkshire Clinic with a subspecialist interest in endourology. Mr Stewart treats patients with prostate problems due to an enlarged prostate (BPH), kidney stones, blocked kidneys (PUJ obstruction) and kidney cancer. In addition to specialist work Mr Stewart sees patients with general urology problems such as penile and scrotal conditions, urinary tract infection and those requesting vasectomy.

During his time as a Consultant Mr Stewart has been an early adopter of new technology when he sees evidence that it will improve outcomes for his patients. Examples include the minimally invasive REZUM steam treatment for patients with symptoms from an enlarged prostate (BPH) and recently Aquablation which is available for men with prostate problems at The Yorkshire Clinic.
