I went to mount Stuart for a hand operation through the NHS. I wondered if I'd be treated differently as I wasn't paying for it but my fears were unfounded. Every single one of the staff were absolutely fantastic. From the secretaries I spoke to with enquiries, to the reception staff that greeted me when I arrived for the procedure and the two members of nursing staff in the day care unit that looked after me (Nikki AND Michelle?) - all superlative. Likewise the doctors. My consultant/ surgeon (Mr John Hardman) was also brilliant; very little pain afterwards, no pain relief needed, and I'm led to believe a lot of that is down to the skill of the surgeon. Anaesthetists were brilliant too.... very attentive, and absolutely put me at my ease even though I was not an easy patient due to potential cardiac arrhythmia issues. I have always found the staff at Torbay hospital brilliant, but we all know the pressure the NHS is under and it shows. This experience was on a different level; I would find a way to pay to go here for elective surgery in future. My only gripe, and where I feel The NHS does better, is pre-operative information so you know what to expect and what you'll be able to do after the procedure. I am self employed, so I needed to know when I'd be able to return to work, but wasn't given clear - or at least what turned out to be reliable - advice on this. Perhaps not surprising, given the bulk of the procedures they'll be doing will be elective, but could easily have been rectified with a patient Information sheet or website link at the initial consultation (I did search and couldn't find any clear advice). I have fed this back to them so hopefully they'll take it on board but happy to discuss further if anyone wants to talk to me about it!!

Total knee replacement From the very first meeting with Mr Nitin Badhe to my discharge yesterday (11 Dec '25) the word excellent seems inadequate. Pre op with Carla. The operation itself with a fantastic team of anaesthetists, Mr Badhe's dedicated team and the caring staff in the recovery room. Then onto the ward with the absolutely amazing Nurse Gen and the day shift team. Nurse Kelly and the night shift staff. Special mention to the catering department and the excellent food and wonderful service 👍 Not forgetting anyone else involved in my treatment at Woodthorpe. Thank you all so much ❤️ xx

I cannot fault this hospital group. I received 5 star treatment throughout the process. Everyone treated me with kindness, professionalism, clarity and compassion, whilst receiving outstanding treatment in a spotless, quiet and calm setting. I cannot recommend this hospital group highly enough.

From walking through the front door i was welcomed from the receptionist who was very courteous. Nurses were absolutely amazing very helpful in all aspects of my visit. Many thanks to all including Dr Joshua and the theatre staff who helped me to calm down afterwards.

My consultant Mr Henry Watson was absolutely brilliant from start to finish and all the nurses at every part of my journey were such lovely people who gave their upmost dedication to their patients. It is the second operation I’ve had at the Yorkshire clinic and would 100% recommend to all my friends and family. They deserve an award for their excellence.

Euxton Hall Ramsey Group Absolutely fantastic hospital every single member of staff from the minute you walk in are very welcoming polite and couldn’t do enough for you the nurses are brilliant make you at ease my consultant I couldn’t recommend Anil Gambhir enough and a big shout out to the two male anaesatists absolutely perfect spoke through everything they was doing so calming and reassuring and very professional I wish I can choose everyone that looked after me on my stay to look after any future problems I have ⭐ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
