  • I have just had my gall bladder removed by Mr Vohra and his team. I was a super anxious patient but Mr Vohra and his anesthetist were wonderful, so calm and patient. I felt in very safe hands. The nursing staff, Kayleigh, Raycent the lady who brought in my food and other staff who kept popping in and taking my readings were all wonderful too. This hospital and it's staff ooze professionalism and care. Thank you! Maria Masterton

  • Amazing, compassionate care from everyone I met during my knee replacement operation at Rowley Hall. My overnight stay was like being in a 5* hotel with brilliant professional staff, had an amazing en-suite bedroom and truly scrumptious food!

  • I was referred to Ms Biswas as NHS patient and was seen in OPD, within 3 days of my appoinment i had received a copy of my consultation letter that had also been sent to my GP. I was then booked for an outpatient procedure. On arrival for my procedure I was extremely nervous, both Ms Biswas and the nurse assisting in the minor ops room (Ana) were very reassuring explained everything and helped to put me at ease.

  • Woodlands Hospital is a lovely facility. I had an arthroscopy on my knee on 25/2/26. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. From the Receptionist who greeted me to Nurses Julie and Emma who looked after me and super Physio April who gave me exercises after my procedure. Grateful to Mr Shukla who performed my surgery and his anaesthetist who looked after me post surgery too, when I felt quite unwell. Very impressed with the care I received. I would highly recommend. Five stars from me.

  • I had surgery at Woodthorpe yesterday, and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received from start to finish. A special thank you to Linda, the nurse, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. She immediately put both me and my mum at ease, taking the time to answer all of our questions and making sure I felt comfortable throughout. She was also so considerate of my preferences- she arranged a wheelchair to take me to the car when I didn’t feel confident on crutches, and even sorted some toast for me instead of sandwiches because I was craving it! Linda also went the extra mile to get my sick note extended when I explained that I’m a Pilates instructor and that two weeks wouldn’t be enough given how active my job is. Frances, the physiotherapist, was equally fantastic. She was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to carefully teach me the exercises I need to do, as well as how to properly use the crutches. She clearly explained the anatomy and physiology behind the surgery, which really helped me understand what to expect during recovery. The anaesthetist was very informative and reassuring, clearly explaining all of the medications that would be administered, which helped ease any nerves beforehand. Dr Karuppiah, the surgeon, was brilliant. Despite it being early in the morning, he was energetic, efficient, and explained the procedure clearly, along with what recovery would look like. I also really appreciated receiving a follow-up call today to check how I was getting on, the lady I spoke to was kind, supportive, and happy to answer my questions. Overall, I felt very well cared for by a team that is not only highly professional but also genuinely compassionate. Thank you all so much!

  • Over the past 12–18 months, I have received brilliant care from Woodthorpe Hospital. From the very beginning, they took my case seriously, listened to my concerns, and acted quickly. I always felt that my health and wellbeing were a priority. Dr Ghosh has been especially outstanding. He is professional, understanding, and has a calm manner that immediately puts you at ease. I have felt completely confident and reassured under his care. The ward staff and recovery staff have also been amazing — kind, attentive, and supportive throughout my treatment and recovery. Their compassion really made a difference during what could have been a very stressful time. The only reason I am not giving a full five stars is due to communication. I completely understand that it is a busy hospital, but I have often found myself ringing 15+ times just to get through to reception. Trying to get updates about appointments, results, or general queries and having to repeatedly call has been frustrating over the months. Overall, the clinical care has been exceptional, and I am very grateful for the treatment I have received. Improved telephone communication would make the experience.

  • What a first class service, it's not just the facilities but very much the staff. You can tell it's not just training, it's a culture that must come from the top and feeds through to every member.. If only other service organisations could be run like Springfield.
