I would absolutely recommend this hospital. I visited for a minor op and the service was excellent from reception, the surgeon to the nurses. The hospital is clean, tidy and run to a very high standard. Everyone was professional and I am happy with the outcome.

What a first class service, it's not just the facilities but very much the staff. You can tell it's not just training, it's a culture that must come from the top and feeds through to every member.. If only other service organisations could be run like Springfield.

Excellent experience at the Oaks hospital today, I had an upper endoscopy done by Dr Simon Ralphs and I found him to be reassuring and professional, also the nurses leading up to the procedure were excellent and it really made me feel at ease. The reception team were also friendly.

I have been to Woodthorpe Hospital for 3 procedures now , the recent being a right leg TKR ( total knee replacement). On every occasion I was treated with the upmost care and attention from Raymond and all the staff there . Also a special thankyou to Mr N Bidhae for his surgical work in the replacement of my new knee..Overall 10/10 ( I would give more if I could).

Over the past 12–18 months, I have received brilliant care from Woodthorpe Hospital. From the very beginning, they took my case seriously, listened to my concerns, and acted quickly. I always felt that my health and wellbeing were a priority. Dr Ghosh has been especially outstanding. He is professional, understanding, and has a calm manner that immediately puts you at ease. I have felt completely confident and reassured under his care. The ward staff and recovery staff have also been amazing — kind, attentive, and supportive throughout my treatment and recovery. Their compassion really made a difference during what could have been a very stressful time. The only reason I am not giving a full five stars is due to communication. I completely understand that it is a busy hospital, but I have often found myself ringing 15+ times just to get through to reception. Trying to get updates about appointments, results, or general queries and having to repeatedly call has been frustrating over the months. Overall, the clinical care has been exceptional, and I am very grateful for the treatment I have received. Improved telephone communication would make the experience.

Had foot surgery 25/02/26 at blakelands hospital. Highly recommend. From my first appointment with my consultant to being discharged absolutely amazing. The hospital cleanses 10/10. The day of the surgery every member of staff that looked after me were outstanding. Keeping me informed of everything they were doing and the level of care goes above and beyond. Re: Hernia Repair. Having recently ( 19.02.2026 ) undertaken a Hernia Repair operation at West Midland Hospital, i am full of praise for all involved. From the moment i was met by the receptionist, the the nurse, the Sister in charge, the anaesthetist, the surgeon, the catering staff, everyone involved from start to finish were very warm and welcoming, professional, knowledgeable, kind, caring, compassionate and friendly. I was made to feel comfortable and at ease every step of the way. Without hesitation i thoroughly recommend 100% the West Midlands Hospital and their wonderful staff. A huge thank you to all involved at every level.
