first surgery can make you so anxious don't like needles don't like being touched but everyone takes care of you too a very high standard even under what pressure they have i had nhs expectations so dreading it but wow was well above what i thought i mean off the chart how i can explain what surgery felt like for me. relaxing warm bath drifting off to a relaxing sleep a joke was cracked just as i was drifting off. memory for life i came out happier more relaxed less stubborn all because how i was treated even though how demanding there job can be if i can and am aloud to any questions i'm no judge no jury i have 0 biases towards anything. i only comment on what i have experienced. the discord server will only be active till my recovery is over i listen with great intensity so i ask question when your speaking i love other peoples life experiences also i know some can be fabricated memory's i still love too listen but please keep it real and nothing personally identifying portal to the truest review in my opinion start 18 july 26 only proof othis being a real review picture↓ look at the number 1 top left picture

Staff are friendly and care was great, I went in for Endoscopy they explained everything what was going to happen, went well. Only downside for me was the waiting but only 20min over and I would have preferred am appointment not evening

I couldn’t have asked for better care during my first ever surgery. I was understandably nervous, especially as I was on my own, but every member of staff was so caring, compassionate, and reassuring from start to finish. The nurses went above and beyond to make sure I was okay. They regularly checked on me, took the time to sit and chat with me, and made me feel comfortable and supported throughout the whole experience. As a young woman having surgery for the first time, their kindness meant so much and really helped ease my anxiety. A special thank you to my two nurses, Kayleigh watt and Michelle who were absolutely amazing. They treated me with such kindness, patience, and genuine care. I honestly can’t thank them enough for making what was a scary experience feel so much less overwhelming. They are a real credit to the hospital and I will always be grateful for the care they gave me.

I underwent spinal surgery in May 2026. From the first visit to the hospital for my consultation to my operation everything went smoothly, each step was explained throughly and all the staff I encountered; Doctors, Nurses, Receptionists etc. were all friendly and welcoming. Any questions I had were answered. On the day of my operation I received outstanding care, I didn’t feel as nervous as I had when I had a different operation at another hospital. Everyone looked after me really well. Aftercare has been outstanding too, I would recommend this hospital to everyone.

I had the absolute best experience under the care of Mr J Refson for my recent incisional hernia operation. From my first consult with him, I was kept well informed, supported and safe. His PA, Deborah, guided me through it all and I’m really grateful for that! My anaesthetist was Dr Raine, and I had an absolutely painless spinal and very pleasant experience being put under. My recovery was super smooth as well, and he and Mr Refson managed my type 1 diabetes with ease! I’d also like to that George and Judith (from theatres) and my nurse Julie for taking such incredible care of me. Julie went above and beyond for me on multiple occasions! I know I’m missing people from my review, and I’m so sorry for that! I want to give my utmost thanks to the whole team. I’m 3 weeks post op, and my recovery is going so well, particularly as a new mum! It’s because of the level of care I received from the team. My husband, daughter and I are all really grateful!

I have just been discharged from the Woodthorpe after a 2 night stay following NHS surgery. I cannot recommend the hospital highly enough. It was spotlessly clean, with exceptional care from all of the staff and it really was like staying in a hotel. I feel very lucky to have undergone a traumatic experience in such a lovely place, with such good care..thank you to all of the staff!

I had a total knee replacement yesterday 4.02.26 and I already feel that the improvement is significant. Before surgery, pain and stiffness affected my daily life. The operation went smoothly and the hospital staff was very supportive. I had a privilege to meet a brilliant staff , consultant Mr. Shah who operated me, Ionut Trifu pharmacist, Alexandru D and George N nurses, who overwhelmed me with a lot of attention and professionalism. Overall all staff is very well trained, polite and empathetic with the patients. I strongly recommend the Woodlands Hospital Kettering for all peoples who want to be treated at the highest level of professionalism. Well done!
