I had my gallbladder removed at this hospital through the NHS, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. As soon as I walked through the doors on the day of my surgery, I was taken straight to my own private room. I was seen promptly by the nurse and anaesthetist, and shortly afterwards I was taken in for my procedure. There was no waiting around for hours, which made such a difference and helped me feel much more relaxed. All the staff were incredibly friendly, kind, caring and helpful throughout my stay. The room was lovely, and the hospital overall looked very clean, modern and well maintained. I’m genuinely very grateful for the care I received. Having surgery can be a worrying experience, but the staff made me feel comfortable and looked after from the moment I arrived. Thank you to everyone involved in my care. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently underwent a surgical procedure carried out by Mr Anmar Al-Shawi. Every care was taken by him during my surgery along every step of the way and he explained to me what he was doing and why. I would like to thank him for this, it was most appreciated. I would also like to thank Dr Roger Langford (Anaesthetist) and Sharon Harvey (Anaesthetic Practitioner) for looking after me so well before and during my surgery and Nurse Sophie Colton for her amazing care and compassion before, during and after my surgery. It made a real difference to me, thank you.

I went to Tees Valley Hospital & found all members of staff friendly, helpful & very professional in dealing with my case. From reception to consultant everyone introduced themselves & really made me feel comfortable & relaxed, my treatment went well but if I have any concerns I have all the information I need to contact them for any questions. I can't recommend this hospital too highly

Had my second cataract procedure yesterday and again the whole team under Mr Orlans was great but I wanted to highlight Bev, one of the nurses, who was helpful and cheerful during my short stay, who even followed up after I had left the hospital.

The greeting at reception was very nice. Refered to Cardiology at Oaklands pre Total Hip replacement surgery due to long term cardiac problem. There was a query as to condition affecting surgery. Dr Sultan explained everything thoroughly, which put me at ease . Procedure was very quick. Result given straight away. Further advice also received. All good . The team at Oaklands are very good. Thanks very much.

This visit was for an echocardiogram because of my high blood pressure. It was stopping my hip replacement from going ahead.

Excellent service. All of the staff I’ve dealt with have been equally caring, kind and helpful. I’ve felt very well looked after throughout the whole experience and would highly recommend Mr Olu and his team.

Mr Ramkumar was excellent in explaining the pros and cons of knee surgery, in managing my expectations and ensuring that I was ready to engage in the recovery and rehab process post surgery. He prepared me for the work I would have to do in order to make sure the surgery was successful. I have felt very supported from the initial referral for knee surgery to the time now, where I am 7 weeks post surgery and walking independently and gradually resuming all my preferred activities. I am going back to work next week. The team around Mr Ramkumar was very person centred and kind. Many thanks to Mr Ramkumar, the anaesthetist, the pharmacist, the theatre nurses, physios and the ward staff during my brief stay in hospital post surgery and during follow-up appointments. I valued the option to call up the ward with any queries post discharge.
