Felt like I totally trusted the care I got whilst having an operation in may2026. Treated with kindness and respect throughout the hope process . Everything explained clearly and felt confident about the op whilst there. Lead up to operation (pre ops etc) was quick with good communication/written information sent to read before going ahead. My time in woodthorpe hospital was very good from admittance through to recovery. All the staff were helpful and very pleasant and couldn't do enough no matter what time of day or night you asked for assistance. The room was light , bright and clean meals were of a good standard tailored to the surgery 👌 I was in 3days and when I was discharged the same standards were maintained, I was given everything to start recovery at home. All in all I was very pleased with the treatment I received throughout.

I had a Total Knee Replacement. The care and attention I was afforded was second to none. Every staff member I came into contact with treated me with dignity, kindness and understanding. I was very nervous about my procedure but the staff there was lovely and friendly they all put me at ease. While I was having my procedure a very kind staff nurse came in with me her name was Kirsty what a lovely person she was and so was my consultant too !

just had my second knee replacement at woodthorpe hospital and wouldn't have gone anywhere else, all the staff, nurses, doctors, consultants are very friendly. my knee operation went very and was looked after extremely well, nothing was to much trouble from the nurses that looked after me and I was in there 4 nights/5 days. There was one disappointment, the food wasn't very appetising but then again its the same in most hospitals, other than that its a well managed and very clean hospital. Also had several other procedures over the years. So anybody wanting anything doing and you get the chance to the woodthorpe hospital, thats definitely the hospital to use

I underwent carpal tunnel release surgery at Woodthorpe hospital in May 2026. The care I received throughout the whole process was wonderful. The consultation came through quickly and I was able to have an evening appointment to fot around my working hours. The meeting was concise and my options communicated to me clearly and in a reassuring manner. The staff I encountered during my surgery were absolutely wonderful. Caring, considerate and kind with a a good sense of humour and a natural way of making me feel at ease. Christie and Georgina deserve a special mention as they looked after me so well. I woukd definitely recommend this hospital.

shoddy service. Receptionists unorganized. was handed another patients notes to hand to the surgeon. the surgeon didn't know I had an appointment so I was left waiting nearly an hour. He even had to ask me who on earth booked me in. The dietician I was assigned was not interested in his job. couldn't even be bothered to see me in person. just a brief WhatsApp call. Never even bothered sending me the liver reduction diet until I chased him up about it. Then he just quickly took some poor quality photos and sent them via WhatsApp. The surgeon okayed my surgery. then the day before my pre op the receptionist told me it was permanently cancelled because they don't have the necessary equipment. utterly devastated. Parking is a nightmare. the receptionist is loud so there's no privacy. Everyone in the waiting room gets to hear the other person's private business. not good.

This is a wonderful hospital The staff are be knowledgeable. And are always willing to help . It’s a beautiful clean and relaxing environment as hospitals go . Very quiet and helpful in recovery the physio department is great but you have to put the hard work as well and you get support every step of the way. Surgeon and theatre staff made me feel at ease would definitely recommend considering
