  • Went to Woodthorpe hospital for a minor surgery, all staff were lovely and professional, and I felt very well looked after. The room was clean and bright, and my husband was allowed to stay there while waiting for me. Overall, really excellent care

  • Great hospital, made me feel safe while I was there, they came in and asked if I was ok if I needed anything said press the button and we will come straight in. Overall they made me feel at ease and relaxed before my surgery and after and explained all medication and discharge notes and any problems to ring the hospital straight away. Would highly recommend.

  • I cannot praise the Duchy highly enough. I have been treated there a few times, and I have just had a spigelian hernia (I hadn't heard of it either!) repaired; whilst relatively straightforward, I have an unrelated cancer and I felt hugely reassured by their approach. The care I received was second to none; from the welcome and being shown into a lovely private room, to the nursing care from Poppy and Chloe and the afternoon/evening nurses, whose names I didn't catch (as was post-op!), the excellent and considerate anaesthetist and his team, and the superb surgeon, Dr May, whose assistant was so helpful and efficient in arranging the operation so speedily. All this, and the most delicious egg mayo sandwiches and tea ever! The Duchy is an incredibly friendly, caring, expert, clean and efficient hospital - thank you !

  • I recently had day surgery at Springfield Hospital and the experience was excellent from beginning to end. The staff were welcoming, professional, and reassuring, and I felt well informed and looked after at every stage. The facilities were clean and modern, and the whole unit ran smoothly and efficiently despite clearly being busy. Aftercare instructions were clear, and I felt fully confident about my recovery once home. A big thank you to the whole team at Springfield Hospital and Day Surgery for such a positive experience.
