  • As an NHS patient I was lucky enough to be sent to Woodthorpe. Despite an initial admin error and a second op cancelled due to a boiler breakdown (these things happen and the staff were so kind, they did all they could but sadly the boiler wasn’t playing that day) the whole team, on all my visits, from arrival through to discharge, where superb! Friendly, smiley reception team, HCA’s and nursing team, made me feel very welcome. The theatre staff were amazing, yes, very slick, but in an exceptionally caring, reassuring manner. Thank you to everyone at Woodthorpe, you were all great 😊

  • Can not praise this hospital enough, wonderful staff, very clean, felt at easy every step of the way, I was there for an operation and was very nervous but the staff were so supportive and really put me at ease, explained everything that was going on, excellent Hospital.

  • I came looking for reviews on any endoscopy reviews and found one which was so helpful for me so i promised to leave a review to help anyone undergoing the same treatment. Firstly i was 15 mins late as i thought my appointment was slightly later then planned, but the team were so forgiving and assured or was all fine. I was taken straight to the ward on arrival and asked to put on my gown and fill put my forms again. This was done online 2 days prior but i may have missed the time it needed to be sent? Either way i was assured it was ok and filled out forms whilst waiting. This didn't take long. To stress that i was a nervous wreck is an understatement. All nurses and Dr Mohammed cane to talk to me and assured me of each step and how long it would be. I was able to ask all my questions like what they were looking for etc and i was not rushed. After lots of nervous knee shaking i was taken through by the loveliest nurses. I was a nervous wreck bit each step was done with time and ease. 10 numbing throat sprays and oxygen, then i laid on my side, mouth guard in and the sedation went in and i was asleep in seconds! Before the sedation i asked if the nurse could hold my hand (38 year old mother of 2 and not ashamed to ask for a hand hold!) i WISH i remembered the lovely nurses name (fabulous looped dreadlock hair!) as she held my hand the entire procedure as promised and this was the only thing i felt the entire time in the moments i do remember. My fear of the day was the potential gagging and retching that comes with this thoe of procedure but if this happened, i was non the wiser! So grateful to the hand to hold. I vaguely remember the tube coming out and waking up in a lovely dazey way in my bay. After my sandwich and two black teas (gf option and milks options available) i got myself dressed to go. At no point was i made to feel like i had to leave quickly and was able to take my time. The very sweet nurse Bev came round and explained my results (all clear!) and gave me my file which had images and all the info. I was told this would all be sent to my GP and was able to ask anymore questions if needed. After that my sedation cannula was taken out and i was able to go. If you are an anxious patient the opt for the sedation. You will be totally fine! If i was to visit pinehill again i know i would come back with ease.

  • Not only is Rowley hall hospital in the most beautiful surroundings, it has a peacefulness and a real welcoming vibe about it , that just helps with any issues of stress or anxiety you might have . All members of staff are amazing, right from the moment you come through the reception area and you meet the wonderfully polite lady who greets you with a warm hello ! This place is immaculately clean so hats off to the cleaning staff there. Then you meet the medical receptionists and they are polite and helpful with any questions or concerns you might have, but for me it has to be the consultants & nurses themselves , I found that I was never rushed while in my appointments on both occasions with two different doctors, I felt listen too and everything was explained to me in a respectful manner with real concern and thoughtfulness of my health issues, so yes Rowley hall is by far an exceptional place and has exceptional staff too match !

  • I’ve had two knee replacements at woodthorpe , my latest one was 5 weeks ago today done by MrSachin Bahde. An excellent surgeon from appointments to the actual surgery . Very kind anaesthetist , and lovely ward staff, and theatre staff who put me at ease . I would recommend this hospital for anyone needing treatment or surgery . Very dedicated teams , thank you .

  • Our only down side was that we live 2 hours away, which means travel is an issue. However Professor Little was able to arrange for scans to be done at our local private hospital, which cuts down the number of times we have to commute. We were extremely positive about all aspects of our visit

  • I was very happy with my experience at Reneacres Hospital for the second time, to which it was a while before each procedure visit and it was a different thing altogether. I am really impressed with my whole experience of going there. I just wanted to say I am really happy and very impressed with care and the support I received whilst having a Gastroscopy procedure at the hospital. It was tones better than the last time I had this procedure done many many years ago at another hospital.And the throat spray was good, even tho it was horrible taste 😊
