Mr Jae Rhee is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Surrey, who specialises in shoulder and upper limb disorders.

He has particular interests in; arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery, shoulder joint replacement surgery and sports related injuries to the shoulder, wrist and hand, including novel techniques in rotator cuff injuries and arthroscopic surgery for acromio-clavicular injuries.

He ensures a high quality tailored service for his patients, using the latest techniques in minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgery for shoulder and wrist conditions. Mr Rhee qualified from the Royal Free University College London School of Medicine with Honours. He completed his basic surgical training on the Middlesex/UCH circuit and higher postgraduate Specialist Orthopaedic training on the reputable Oswestry Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt training program. He undertook further shoulder and elbow fellowship training at University College Hospital London, as well as completing a hand and wrist fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital London.
He was also awarded the EFORT (European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology) travelling fellowship to the Internationally renowned Karolinska Sports Institute in Stockholm.
Mr Rhee was appointed in 2014 as Shoulder and Upper Limb Consultant at the Princess Royal Hospital, where he leads in developing the Upper Limb department, providing innovative specialist shoulder treatment for his patients. He additionally holds Honorary Shoulder Consultant at UCLH NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr Rhee works in close collaboration with the Lilleshall International Sports Centre, home to the English Institute of Sports, as well as treating elite professional athletes from the English Ice Hockey Association, Rugby Premiership and PGA European Golf Tour. He also has vast experience managing high profile individuals from the music and film industries.
He finds research and training equally important. He has published widely and has several contributions to Orthopaedic Surgery textbooks, and is an invited reviewer for a number of international journals including Bone & Joint Journal. He is a regular faculty examiner on regional and national courses, as well as lecturing MSc. Students at UCL. He organises several national training courses accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons, and co-convenes the London Shoulder Meeting which is the largest independent shoulder and elbow conference in the UK.
