Dr David Paling is a Consultant Neurologist in Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Mr Paling is a Consultant Neurologist at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield. He is also also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Sheffield, and I am the Clinical Lead for the world famous Multiple Sclerosis centre, Sheffield as recently featured on BBC Panorama. He has published peer reviewed articles and chapters in my clinical interests.
He trained at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, where I completed my PhD in MRI imaging in multiple sclerosis. I have also trained at Salford Royal Hospital in Manchester, and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney.
Mr Paling currently the principle investigator into three drug trials of medications for people with multiple sclerosis, and two observational studies in multiple sclerosis. He supervised a PhD student who is investigating MRI changes in multiple sclerosis and motor neurone disease. he is a honorary senior lecturer at the University of Sheffield and a lecturer to medical students, and on the MSc in clinical neurology course.
