In 2010, Mr Pathak was appointed a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals. He has broad experience in general urology and urological cancers. In 2014, he moved to Sheffield to undertake complex kidney and advanced testicular cancer surgery for South Yorkshire. He performs both open and keyhole surgery. Formerly, teaching Anatomy at the University of Oxford. Currently, he is a trainer on the National laparoscopic kidney surgery course. He in an examiner at the University of Sheffield Medical School. He is also an exam question writer for the FRCS (Urol) examination. He was awarded an MD at the University of Leicester investigating molecular biological markers for the chemoprevention of prostate cancer. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and written book chapters too. He has undertaken travelling fellowships to the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic and University of Southern California, USA.
