Academic background

Mr Rajnish Mankotia is a highly esteemed consultant colorectal surgeon currently practicing at the Ramsay West Midlands Hospital in Birmingham. He specialises in minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery for gallbladder and hernias.He is also an expert in colonoscopy, anal fistula surgery and THD procedure for piles which is a cutting-edge operation which has revolutionised the surgical treatment of haemorrhoids (also known as piles).

Mr Mankotia also practices colorectal resection, and emergency general surgery but to name a few. He also specialises in water colonoscopy, a hugely effective new technique which incorporates the use of water rather than air in order to perform a colonoscopy procedure in a quicker and less painful fashion.

Mr Mankotia is the current surgical trauma lead and a core member of the Emergency Preparedness, Response & Recovery committee, and is also a senior academic tutor and examiner for the medical students.He was a co-investigator for the National  PPAC-2( Peri anal abscess Study) and C-Gall  ( Gall stones treatment ) Study and has presented in International Conferences and has many of his work publications in internationalJournals here.
